TROPHY CLUB FAQ
What is a brewery membership?
Essentially, it's a private group with exclusive access to some of our rarest beers. These are very small-batch, usually barrel-aged brews. Additionally, members receive early access to other, public, brewery-only releases, plus taproom discounts, glassware, and more.
Will Elk valley brewing ship my allocations?
No. We are not legally allowed to ship your beer. While Oklahoma has certainly come a long way in the last couple of years, we still have some funky laws. Please remember to vote in your local elections and support progressive alcohol legislation and regulation!
When will the initial allocation be available?
The initial release will be some point in the late Summer or early Fall of 2021.
Can I establish a PROXY to pick up my beers for me?
Absolutely. If you would like to add a proxy to your membership, a form will be provided during enrollment. If you need to make a change to your existing proxy, email bryan@elkvalleybrew.com. Notification of a change of proxy must occur before 12pm CST the day of pick-up. Please Note: Choose your proxies carefully. We aren't responsible for the product once it is gone and we will not release your beer to anyone unless they are on your approved list, or unless we hear from you first. All proxies must provide photo I.D. when picking up your allotment.
WAIT, WHAT IS A PROXY? DO THEY GET ANYTHING?
A proxy is a person who the member designates as someone who can pick-up their beer. This allows members who do not live in OKC some flexibility with getting to the taproom. They do not receive any benefits of the membership - no discounts, no beer, no early admittance pick-ups, no emails, nada. It is the responsibility of the member to communicate with their proxy, not Elk Valley.
How limited is membership?
Pretty darn limited. 120 members this year. We want to keep membership small because a program like this takes a substantial amount of care and planning, and we want to ensure the best experience (and beers!) for those involved.
Why don’t you list specifically what beers will be included?
Becoming a Trophy Club member requires an understanding that, like life, things are subject to change. Beers will be beers, the aging process can be tricky sometimes, and specialty beers are ready when they're ready. Trust us: we're going to be working extra hard to exceed your expectations.
Can I purchase a membership as a gift?
Boy, you must love someone a lot. We will need all the information required for registration for the person you are giving the membership to (don't worry - there's a place to enter the details on the check-out page).
Can I cancel my membership?
A member may choose to cancel their membership, but we're not sure why you would want to do that. Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Now that you mention canceling...
Elk Valley Brewing reserves the right to cancel a membership at any time for any reason. Such reasons may include, but are not limited to: members reselling Trophy Club bottles at retail establishments; abuse of federal and state alcohol related laws; or attempted purchase for or shipment to minors. That kind of stuff will not fly with us. It's dirty pool. It's crooked snooker. It's tilted pinball. Don't do it, capiche?
How will I be notified when a release is happening?
Primarily through email and a private Facebook group. The first communication with members will occur after enrollment closes on July 31, 2021.
How old do I have to be?
21. Can't believe we have to answer that, but better safe than sorry.
How many memberships can I sign up for?
One membership per person. But you can buy memberships as gifts. See above.
Anything else?
Membership applies for one calendar year following registration (365 days). Elk Valley Brewing reserves the right to substitute any scheduled beer for another beer, merchandise, or partial refund.
